Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with the facility), RN - Med/Surg

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Assess and monitor patient conditions, documenting changes promptly and accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely according to facility policies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
Respond effectively to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the patient record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact RN authorization as applicable
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing
Current BLS certification; ACLS or other specialty certifications a plus
Demonstrated ability to provide safe, patient-centered care and work well on a team
Strong communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
Teamwork, patient advocacy, and effective communication with patients and families
