Location: Bakersfield, California

End Date: 09-09-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends, and rotating holiday on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
Deliver high-quality nuclear medicine imaging using GE equipment and Radnet & Merge Unity systems
Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support patient care across the system
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a smooth department workflow
Provide compassionate care while completing 5-10 studies daily

Qualifications

Active CA NMTL license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Comfortable working independently with lead tech support available

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment
Ability to adapt to different clinical settings when floating
