Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend coverage required with a weekday off in exchange

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care across acute care units including med-surg, tele, ICU, and oncology
Provide specialized treatment for ventilated patients and those recovering from cardiac surgeries
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Develop individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations
Support patients through ortho and total joint rehabilitation journeys
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, and ICU/ventilated patient care
Comfortable working with cardiac surgery patients and diverse medical populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy expertise across multiple hospital units
Experience with ventilated patients in ICU settings
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to varied patient needs and diagnoses
