Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER settings
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining continuity of care
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs and manage PICC lines and ports with confidence
Respond swiftly to codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis emergencies
Participate in trauma response and stabilize patients for higher-level transfer
Document EKGs and interpret your own telemetry strips using Mindray monitors
Collaborate directly with hospitalists in a close-knit, independent environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Experience with Meditech EMR a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to float seamlessly between MedSurg and ER
Proficient in titrating multiple IV drips
Competent with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Excellent communication and decision-making under pressure
