Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM; on-call maximum 1-2 nights per 6-week schedule and 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages including pediatrics
Monitor and respond to patient needs during critical post-operative periods with compassion and expertise
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions from operating room to recovery
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed, showcasing your versatility
Deliver sensitive, individualized care to patients with disabilities and varying acuity levels

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
Proven ability to recover pediatric patients safely and confidently
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Knowledge & Skills

Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Comfort recovering ventilated patients on pressors and blood products
Strong pediatric recovery skills with a gentle, patient-centered approach
Ability to read cardiac strips and respond appropriately
Team-oriented mindset with willingness to float and support colleagues
