Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro post-surgical and stroke patients
Monitor and interpret EKGs while delivering expert telemetry nursing
Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to ensure seamless patient outcomes
Maintain sterile field standards and support safe post-crani and spine recovery
Educate patients and families on recovery plans after CVAs and TPA treatment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro telemetry experience within the last 6 months
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique assessment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong neuro assessment and post-operative care skills
Confident EKG interpretation and centralized telemetry monitoring
Excellent sterile technique and infection prevention practices
Ability to manage 1:3-4 patient ratios with attention to detail
Comfortable working with hospitalists and 24/7 respiratory and pharmacy support
