Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Take and document vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Follow infection control procedures and facility safety protocols
Collaborate with the nursing team to implement care plans and support patient goals
Demonstrate respect, dignity and empathy in every patient interaction

Qualifications

Current CNA certification from an accredited program (state-approved); Pennsylvania certification preferred
Active state registry or ability to obtain and maintain required registry status
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable with hands-on patient care and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Reliable, professional, and committed to compassionate care

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Basic charting and documentation skills
Comfort with safe patient handling and mobility assistance
Strong interpersonal skills and an approachable bedside manner
