Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days to be scheduled (orientation included)

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient respiratory status and deliver appropriate respiratory treatments with care
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen systems
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to inform and adjust patient care plans
Document respiratory care and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Educate patients and families on therapy, equipment use, and home care when appropriate
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical skills and safety

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) or equivalent
Active state Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
Clinical experience as an RT preferred; new graduates who meet licensure requirements are encouraged to apply
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and airway care expertise
Oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication administration
Patient assessment and respiratory monitoring
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
