Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients and their families
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Document care clearly and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Alabama license preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
Clinical experience on a Medical-Surgical unit preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and provide patient-centered care with professionalism

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Proficient in patient assessment, wound care, and post-op care
Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and documenting accurately
Ability to prioritize workload and multitask in a fast-paced setting
