Roles & Responsibilities

Room patients and take accurate vital signs to support safe, efficient visits
Assist providers with exams and ambulatory procedures, maintaining patient comfort
Perform point-of-care testing and basic specimen collection per protocol
Document encounters and charting in the electronic health record with attention to detail
Manage appointment flow and help coordinate patient check-in/check-out
Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and ensure infection control standards are met
Provide clear, compassionate patient education and instructions

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent clinical certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Prior ambulatory or clinical experience preferred (even a year makes a difference)
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
Must meet any state-specific licensure or registration requirements for Washington

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or completed training program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Strong skills in taking vitals, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures
Familiarity with point-of-care testing and specimen handling
Excellent communication, patient service, and teamwork skills
Understanding of HIPAA, infection control, and ambulatory clinic workflows
