Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to ICU patients with compassion and precision
Continuously assess and monitor patients, recognizing subtle changes and acting quickly
Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient status and interventions clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families about care plans and support decision-making during stress
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN license (eligible to practice in Hawaii) required
Clinical experience in ICU care (ICU skill set is a core requirement)
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required per facility policy
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced critical care team

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in ICU monitoring, ventilator basics, and hemodynamic assessment
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
Comfort managing complex, high-acuity cases and critical interventions
