Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (12 hours per shift); specific start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the facility
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate medical/surgical nursing care to adult patients
- Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and transitions
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to promote recovery
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact license as applicable
- Clinical experience or strong interest in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or PALS as preferred where applicable
- Ability to safely manage 12-hour shift responsibilities and deliver consistent patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and IV management proficiency
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to changing patient needs
- Patient/family education and discharge planning experience
