Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat patients with diverse conditions including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological diagnoses
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans that help patients regain strength and independence
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document progress and adjust treatment approaches to meet individual recovery goals

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Comfortable working with general medical, post-surgical, and neurological patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Experience with TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and stroke rehabilitation
Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
