Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, team scheduling with weekend requirements every third for days and every other for nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics across all inpatient floors
Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry with precision and care
Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, and nursing teams to deliver seamless patient care
Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, and high-flow oxygen systems to support patients with varying needs
Float throughout the hospital in an RT capacity, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations

Qualifications

Current RRT or CRT credential required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NRP and PALS preferred
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Strong time management and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and grow across diverse patient care settings
Proficiency with Drager, Servo I, Carefusion vents, Vision/V60/V30 BiPAPs, and Airvo2 high-flow systems
