Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac step-down care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor cardiac rhythms on Philips telemetry and interpret EKGs with confidence
Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory teams
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skill set across Neuro Tele and more
Complete required SIMs Lab skills to ensure top-notch sterile technique and patient safety

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam on the first or second attempt
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
Competence with sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Comfort floating between multiple telemetry units
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
