Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to high-risk laboring and antepartum patients with confidence and independence
Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placement for accurate fetal assessment
Circulate and recover C-section patients ensuring seamless surgical experiences
Titrate critical drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
Float to Mother-Baby and other units as census demands, showcasing versatility
Read and interpret fetal monitor strips with ACLS and AFM expertise
Collaborate with 24/7 OB/Neonatologist and Anesthesia teams for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nevada or compact state
BLS, ACLS, AFM, and NRP certifications required
Strong experience with high-risk L&D, vaginal exams, and internal monitoring
Comfortable floating to postpartum and other units as needed
Cerner charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Level 3 high-risk facility protocols
AWHONN staffing guidelines (2:1 normal labor, 1:1 high-risk, 4:1 couplet care)
Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
C-section circulation and recovery
Titration of Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
Self-scheduling and TEAM system navigation
