Location: Garden City, Kansas

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, adapting quickly to diverse patient needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications including heparin drips and manage titratable drips safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patients in Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Ortho, and more
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout their care journey

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Flexibility to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to varying unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Alaris pumps preferred
Experience with neuro, cardiac, and post-surgical patient populations
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Comfortable working with nurse aids and designated charge nurses
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
