Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM and 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for post-surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions from OR to recovery
Respond to ICU patients recovering in PACU with expert clinical judgment
Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
Support the care team during lunch relief and assist with unit workflow
Float to surgery center as needed while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PACU experience or ED/ICU background
Epic EMR experience preferred
Ability to work variable shifts and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-anesthesia care
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to float between PACU and surgery center
Quick response time within 1 hour for on-call shifts
