Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Attend deliveries independently and circulate during C-sections with confidence and skill
• Assist with catching babies and transitioning newborns to ensure safe, healthy starts
• Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin to support optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor fetal heart patterns using intermediate or advanced skills to safeguard mother and baby
• Collaborate with in-house OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Anesthesia providers for seamless care
• Support high-risk patients including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, and substance use concerns
• Float within the Birthing Center to Mother-Baby and Postpartum units while maintaining all core competencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience preferred; candidates with 1 year and multiple prior travel assignments may be considered
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in C-sections
• Experience with intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring preferred
• No first-time travelers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• LDRP nursing with ability to manage 33-week and above gestations
• High-risk OB care including preeclampsia, diabetes, and psychosocial needs
• Titration of Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips
• Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
• C-section circulation and newborn transition support
• Centricity Perinatal EFM system experience
• Strong communication and adaptability to unit workflows
