Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios
Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum journeys
Monitor and titrate medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Deliver expert postpartum and newborn care following AWHONN guidelines
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and interdisciplinary team
Maintain excellent patient experience scores in a Blue Distinction+ facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery expertise
Postpartum and antepartum care
Titration of drips including Pitocin and Magnesium
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
