Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced L&D unit
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes during high-risk deliveries
Circulate during C-sections and support the surgical team in our two dedicated suites
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU to care for a variety of patients including grower/feeders
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and 24/7 specialists to ensure seamless patient experiences
Educate and support families through every stage of the birthing journey

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN intermediate or advanced)
2-3 years of recent L&D experience
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate C-sections and float to postpartum and NICU as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation
Cerner EMR proficiency
Excellent communication with diverse patient populations
Ability to handle high-risk deliveries and substance withdrawal cases
Team collaboration across L&D, postpartum, and NICU units
