Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional critical care nursing to diverse ICU patients including those with COPD, pneumonia, CVA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, and STEMI
Titrate life-saving medications including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, and sedatives with precision and expertise
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering comprehensive patient assessments
Collaborate with 24/7 intensivist coverage and E-ICU teams to optimize patient outcomes
Float to PCU and medical floors as needed while maintaining the highest standards of care
Educate and support patients and families through complex critical care journeys

Qualifications

Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
ICU nursing experience with proven ability in drip titration and telemetry interpretation
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to pass skills-based orientation exam
Valid driver's license for radius verification and reliable transportation
Commitment to maintaining professional standards including natural nail policy

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing with focus on complex critical care patients
Proficient in drip titration for vasopressors, insulin, anticoagulants, and sedatives
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
