Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Accurately take and record vital signs and report changes to the nurse
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; active CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene and personal care
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Safe patient transfer and mobility support
- Basic charting and familiarity with electronic documentation
- Infection control practices and use of PPE
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork
