Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, may include weekends with possible call shifts; 40 guaranteed hours/week; 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts depending on unit need

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures as a first assistant
Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless care
Float between Mercy Hospital Downtown and Mercy Southwest as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience in Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, and GYN (SW) required
Cerner experience required

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, and GYN
Experience with Cerner systems
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
