Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, bedside nursing care to patients with attention and professionalism
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Monitor patients’ conditions, record observations, and report changes promptly
• Document care and interventions clearly and thoroughly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
• Maintain infection control practices and uphold facility standards for patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license for Georgia (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited LPN / practical nursing program
• Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (LPN diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV basics appropriate to LPN scope
• Vital signs assessment and patient monitoring
• Wound care basics and dressing change knowledge
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Patient education and discharge planning support
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
