Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from general medical conditions, joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and strokes
Develop personalized treatment plans that make a real difference in recovery journeys
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize patient outcomes
Support patients through their most vulnerable moments with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfort working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
Experience with TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA rehabilitation
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital units
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs throughout the day
