Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with evening, weekend, and holiday call required; 30-minute call response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional perioperative care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow in our four OR suites and GI endoscopy room
Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment, and maintain sterile technique throughout each procedure
Support robotic and laparoscopic cases including chole, hernia, appendectomy, ortho, gyn, and podiatry procedures
Monitor patient status and respond promptly during on-call situations within the 30-minute requirement
Document accurately in Epic and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
Current BLS certification required
Previous OR nursing experience preferred
Robot and GI experience strongly preferred
Ability to take call with 30-minute response time
Comfortable working within a 60-mile radius of Garden City

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with robotic-assisted procedures and GI endoscopy
Proficient with Epic electronic medical records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Quick decision-making under pressure during on-call situations
