Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Assess and treat patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
Document progress and communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
Support patients through every stage of their rehabilitation journey

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with post-surgical orthopedic patients
Comfort working in fast-paced hospital environments
Ability to manage a diverse caseload including ICU and ER patients
Excellent communication and documentation skills
