Location: Lakewood, Colorado

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care to post-surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Respond to on-call needs with a one-hour response time to support your unit
Float to support other areas as needed while delivering outstanding care
Read and interpret cardiac strips to ensure patient safety
Support patients requiring ICU-level recovery within the PACU setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus
Ability to work variable shifts and take call as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing expertise
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Epic documentation proficiency
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfort managing ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI recoveries
