Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to ensure safe, supportive environments
Administer medications and perform essential nursing skills while maintaining sterile technique
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safety protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and complete SIMs Lab skills on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Cerner electronic medical record system
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
De-escalation and safety monitoring for patients with psychiatric diagnoses
Video monitoring systems and behavioral health protocols
