Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities like Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine Dodge City, and St. Catherine Garden City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
Respond to low-census call needs and adapt to changing patient assignments across ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for adult and geriatric populations
Ability to float across multiple specialties and adapt quickly to new units
Comfortable reading cardiac strips and managing stable long-term placement patients
Excellent communication and teamwork in a charge-supported environment
