Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform triage and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic health record
- Respond effectively to trauma, code situations, and other critical events
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility for licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
- Experience in Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, IV, and medication administration skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency triage and rapid assessment
- Cardiac monitoring and basic life support interventions
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Documentation in electronic health records
- Critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork under pressure
- Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
