Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour ED/ER shifts (exact start/end times not specified), days and nights as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Perform triage and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic health record
Respond effectively to trauma, code situations, and other critical events
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility for licensure
BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
Experience in Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing preferred
Strong clinical assessment, IV, and medication administration skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency triage and rapid assessment
Cardiac monitoring and basic life support interventions
IV therapy and medication administration
Documentation in electronic health records
Critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork under pressure
Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
