Respiratory Therapist

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert respiratory care across all facility areas including NICU, ICU, ER, and surgical units
Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment for patients from neonates to geriatrics
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Make independent clinical judgements while delivering high-quality care
Support patients requiring advanced respiratory interventions in a Level II trauma center

Qualifications

Current RRT or CRT credential required
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Active North Dakota state respiratory therapy license
NICU experience required
Ability to work independently and exercise clinical judgement

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics equipment
Experience across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
Comfort working in Level II trauma, NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac settings
