Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to neonates in a Level III NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines for critically ill newborns
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and midwives to deliver outstanding outcomes
Float to Mother-Baby and L&D units to support newborns and families during transition
Serve as a safety advocate and trusted resource for well babies and new parents

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of NICU nursing experience
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Experience caring for neonatal patients on vents and with central lines
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
Comfortable floating between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D as needed
Knowledge of AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines and neonatal best practices
