Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be provided by the facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately and promptly
Communicate changes in patient status to nurses and the care team
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Support patient transfers and ambulation using safe body mechanics
Document care and observations clearly in patient records

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state certification required or eligible)
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and stand/walk for extended periods
Willingness to undergo background check, drug screening and required health clearances
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain
Strong communication skills and patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; required: CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety principles
Comfort with taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with assisting patients with ADLs and safe transfer techniques
Good documentation practices and attention to detail
Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
Ability to follow facility policies and infection control standards
