Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret evaluations to create individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on and therapeutic exercise interventions across the lifespan — pediatric to geriatric
• Administer modalities such as hydrotherapy, ultrasound, traction, and other interventions safely and effectively
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers home exercise programs to support continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately and contribute to discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and direct aides, technicians, and therapy assistants when appropriate
• Maintain equipment, follow infection-control protocols, and ensure a safe treatment environment
• Develop colleagues through in-service training and clinical education opportunities

Qualifications

• Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Experience and comfort treating patients from pediatric through geriatric populations
• Proven skills in patient evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge planning
• Familiarity with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, assistive devices, and common modalities
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Commitment to infection-control practices and maintaining patient confidentiality

Education

• Possession of a Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies

• Gait training and assistive device instruction
