Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Recognize and respond to critical changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Participate in department quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or obtained soon after hire
• Emergency Department (ED) or Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Cardiac, respiratory, and trauma care fundamentals
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients simultaneously
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
