Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming—with compassion and respect
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Provide emotional support and friendly companionship to patients and families
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations
Help maintain a clean, safe patient environment and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

Current CNA certification and in good standing
Valid state-required certifications and licensure for Pennsylvania
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Dependable, compassionate, and able to handle the physical demands of the role

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Understanding of infection prevention and control procedures
Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
