Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and positioning following facility protocols
Document care clearly in the resident record and communicate effectively with teammates
Help create a warm, home-like environment and engage residents in meaningful activities

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Connecticut
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Comfortable with direct patient care and lifting/assisting residents as needed
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on personal care and resident assistance
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Infection control and safe body mechanics
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records or paper charts
Effective communication with residents, families and clinical staff
Attention to detail and a compassionate bedside manner
