Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage complex spinal and neuro trauma patients with skill and compassion
• Provide expert post-surgical and trauma care for gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia cases
• Document all care and clinical findings clearly and efficiently in EPIC
• Collaborate with surgical teams, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Prioritize patient safety, pain management, and prevention of complications
• Support and educate patients and families through recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in spinal/neuro trauma or related specialty (explicitly required)
• Med/Surg RN experience and demonstrated trauma care skills
• EPIC experience required — comfortable with clinical documentation and workflows
• Submit work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, and certification card

Education

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of spinal/neuro trauma and post-surgical care

• Proficient documentation and charting in EPIC
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
