Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill MICU patients with skilled ventilator and hemodynamic support
• Perform and assist with ICU procedures such as central line care, intubation, thoracentesis and dialysis cath management
• Deliver evidence-based bedside care including renal dialysis support (NXStage) and use of devices like Arctic Sun and GE cardiac output monitors
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Recognize and respond to acute changes in patient condition with calm, decisive action
• Provide compassionate patient and family education during challenging moments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years MICU/MSICU experience (candidates without this experience will not be considered)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• CCRN preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and renal dialysis care
• Comfortable with ICU procedures (intubations, central line care, cardioversions, thoracentesis)

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and airway care (intubation)
• Hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac output interpretation
• Renal dialysis care (NXStage) and dialysis catheter management
• Central line care and bedside ICU procedures
• ICU documentation using Meditech
• Use of Arctic Sun and GE cardiac output monitors
• Strong critical thinking and acute care assessment skills
• Team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
