Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the care team
- Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves dignity and independence
- Help with feeding, toileting, and transfers while following safe patient-handling practices
- Document resident care in a timely and accurate manner
- Support a positive environment by collaborating with nurses, therapists, and family members
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and delivering hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a care team
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient-handling techniques
- Basic clinical skills: measuring vital signs, observing patient condition
- Proficient with documentation and following care plans
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
