Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes promptly
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nursing staff and families
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with the team to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required or must obtain upon hire)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
• Demonstrated empathy, strong communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and perform physical tasks as needed

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Familiarity with vital signs, bedside care, and infection prevention
• Comfortable with documentation and charting best practices
• Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork abilities
• Respectful, patient-centered communication with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
