Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency patient care with initiative and minimal supervision
• Rapidly and accurately triage patients to prioritize care and improve outcomes
• Communicate patient status and collaborate directly with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Document care thoroughly and efficiently in the electronic medical record (T-System, CPSI)
• Administer medications safely and pass required medication competency testing
• Cross-train and float to Med-Surg as needed to support the unit and patient flow
• Maintain professional, tactful, and respectful interactions with patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• 2+ years recent ER nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass nursing medication test
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills and comfort using EMR systems (T-System and CPSI)
• Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Room (ER) nursing best practices and triage principles
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (T-System, CPSI)
• Medication administration and nursing documentation accuracy
• Patient assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making
• Interpersonal skills for professional interaction with patients and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical volumes and cross-training responsibilities
