Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in the emergency setting
Administer medications, IVs, and treatments while monitoring patient responses
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create timely care plans
Perform critical interventions and stabilize patients during high-acuity events
Document assessments and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
Advocate for patient safety and quality throughout every shift

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required depending on site
One or more years of emergency department nursing experience preferred
Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
Strong clinical judgment, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with common ER equipment and monitors
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation proficiency
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
Teamwork, patient advocacy, and clear communication with families
