Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts for the MST program
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and develop timely nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while adhering to policies and protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Provide crisis intervention and supportive care tailored to the MST population
• Educate patients and families about care plans, resources, and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Experience working with trauma-informed care or MST populations preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) encouraged where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for acute and behavioral needs
• Comfortable working independently on night shifts with sound judgment and initiative
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available; relevant continuing education or certifications a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to Military Sexual Trauma (MST) issues
• Clinical assessment, triage, and safe medication administration
• Excellent documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
• De-escalation techniques and experience with behavioral health interventions
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night shift environment
