Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate GE 3T and GE 1.5T MRI scanners to perform high-quality diagnostic MR imaging
• Safely position and prepare patients for exams while following radiation safety and fingernail policy
• Perform and assist with CT and X-ray studies when needed to support department coverage
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC and McKesson PACS
• Respond to on-call requests and provide timely coverage for urgent imaging needs
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver patient-centered imaging services in an acute setting
• Complete unit-specific orientation and follow facility policies including badge use and compliance requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification required (Certified MRI Technologist)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Driver's license required at submission; used to verify 50-mile radius eligibility
• Must not be currently full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity)
• Ability and willingness to float to CT, X-ray and other areas (OR, Endo, ED) as needed
• Flexible schedule availability for call, varied weekends, and holiday coverage
• Readiness to complete required RTO (7 or fewer days for a 13-week contract) and comply with facility policies

Education

• ARRT (MR) certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong MR imaging skills and protocols for GE 3T and 1.5T scanners
• Familiarity with EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image management
• Cross-sectional imaging skills (CT, X-ray) are a plus
• Patient positioning, safety, and communication skills for diverse patient populations
• Ability to work in an acute care environment with varied case types
• Comfort with on-call rotations and responding promptly to departmental needs
