Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies using GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice scanners
• Operate and maintain GE CT equipment and follow radiation safety protocols, including proper use of radiation badges
• Provide compassionate patient care throughout imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Collaborate with the care team and float to X-ray, OR, Endo and ED as needed to support department needs
• Accurately document exams and patient information in EPIC and transfer images to McKesson PACS
• Adhere to facility policies (including fingernail/artificial nail rules) and maintain strict infection control standards
• Respond to call/standby requests in a timely manner and support holiday/weekend coverage
• Contribute to continuous improvement and keep skills current through on-the-job learning and training

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT or X-ray experience preferred
• Experience with GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanners required
• Comfortable charting in EPIC and working with McKesson PACS
• Driver's license required at submittal (used to confirm distance for the 50-mile radius rule)
• Able to float to XR, OR, Endo and ED and accept variable scheduling including call, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to comply with facility policies (e.g., fingernail policy) and initial RTO requirements for the contract

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
• ARRT-CT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT protocols and cross-sectional imaging techniques
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner
• Familiarity with EPIC charting workflows and McKesson PACS image management
• Knowledge of radiation safety and proper use of monitoring badges
• Ability to troubleshoot GE CT hardware/software at a user level
• Comfortable performing portable imaging and working in OR/Endo environments
• Teamwork mindset and flexibility to adapt to varied caseloads
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and time-management skills
