Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ER setting
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage lifesaving interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license where applicable
• Minimum ER nursing experience preferred; comfort with fast-paced emergency care
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or will be supported
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and provide reliable per diem coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN license in California

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage skills
• Cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Familiarity with common ER procedures and acute care interventions
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
• Teamwork, adaptability, and calm decision-making under pressure
