Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Perform basic vital sign checks and document findings accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Support infection control practices and follow facility protocols
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle physically active shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety procedures
• Comfortable with documentation and charting best practices
• Ability to observe, assess, and communicate changes in patient status
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
• Familiarity with infection control and HIPAA/privacy guidelines
